How To make "Milo Egg" dessert
I used to have this dessert when I was young. This recipe was my Gandma's recipe. The other day, when I was feeling hungry, I thought: "Why not make this dessert again? It is quite simple to make".
Ingredients:
4 Grade A Eggs
3 Tbsp Milo powder
2-5 Tbsp Condensed Milk (depend on how sweet you want)
150ml hot Water
Add Milo powder into a cup, hot water & condensed milk. Mix evenly. Put aside to let it cool.
Crack open the eggs and pour the content into a bowl.
Add the Milo mixture.
Beat the mixture, then sift using a mesh strainer into a ceramic bowl/pyrex etc....
Cover the bowl with its top. (If don't have the top, then use aluminium foil to cover the top to ensure the steamed Milo Egg emerge with a smooth texture)
Steam it for 10 minutes.
Serve... :-P
When I was eating this, I thought: "Wow, this is very smooth, just like the Tau Foo Far" (pudding).

How to make "Steamed Water Egg"
I love eggs. My favourite dishes are egg dishes. Eggs are very nutritious as it is a complete Protein with loads of Vitamins & Minerals, low in Glycemic Index (good for those with diabetic risk).
When I was young, i always take 2 half-boiled eggs as breakfast on exam days. I find that it helps with my memory (our education system is mainly on rote learning). Later I found out that it was the Lecithin found in the egg yolk that boost the memory.
Ingredients:
2 Grade A Eggs
1.5x of Water
a pinch of Salt
a dash of white Pepper
For garnishing:
sliced spring onion
pre-fried onion
sliced red chilli (optional)
Crack open the eggs and pour the content into a measuring cup. Note the measurement.
Add 1.5x of water. (eg... if the egg is 200ml, then the water needed is 300ml totaling 500ml)
Add a pinch of salt
Add a dash of white pepper
Beat the mixture, then sift using a mesh strainer into a ceramic bowl/pyrex etc....
Cover the bowl with its top. (If don't have the top, then use aluminium foil to cover the top to ensure the steamed egg emerge with a smooth surface texture)
Steam it for 10 minutes.
Add sliced spring onion and pre-fried onion, then serve...
Enjoy... ;-P
